June 20th, 2008 Dalhousie University officially named the Goldberg Computer Science Building in honour of the Goldberg family in Halifax. The dedication recognizes a new scholarship fund donated by Canadian billionaire philanthropist Seymour Schulich. The scholarships were created in tribute to his wife, Tanna Goldberg-Schulich, the Goldberg family and their contributions to Dalhousie and Halifax. Rachel provided music for the reception and dinner, honoring the Goldberg family and Schulich. Photo by Danny Abriel

"The Jubilee Quartet"
1997-2006 (The Cortland Quartet's predecessor) Founding members L-R: violin I - Chris Chaulk violin II - Gina Burgess viola - Amy Lounder cello - Rachel Matthews We reunited *heart* at Chris' cousin's "hurricane" wedding on August 23rd, 2009. Gina and I were playing mostly fiddle music, and Amy was there to play fiddle too, later in the evening with Graeme Kerr. |
